COVID-19 (Coronavirus) UPDATE

Given the constantly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we wanted to provide you with an update on the work UWS is doing to manage any potential impact.
Volume:
We have been experiencing an exceptional increase in volumes through this week, We have been able to manage this uplift with minimal disruption but there has been some inevitable impact
We are working with our supplier partners to manage the significant growth in volume, but if this level of uplift continues, we would expect some deliveries to run later than planned. Where we are aware of disruptions to set delivery times, we will communicate with you as soon as possible.
Availability:
Despite the challenges around increased demand for certain product lines and pressure on the logistics operation, availability remains strong across most lines and we are working closely with suppliers to increase stock cover on key lines. We are currently working through stock and finding suitable substitutions to set up on lines which we are experiencing issues with.
Stock control:
To protect availability and provide a level playing field for all partners, we have identified potential panic buy lines and have brought in a max store restriction on certain products, which will be constantly reviewed as more lines become a risk. These cover a range of hygiene and household items including disinfectants and toilet rolls.
Communication:
We will continue to update you daily through our website as the situation progresses and keep you up to date on what we are doing to minimise the impact on United and its customers
